A Magical Journey Starting at Hogwarts

Chapter 14: The Stark Gap Between Rich and Poor Wizard Families

Harry and Ron seemed to hit it off right away, chatting casually in the carriage.

Aaron was holding Abe, looking at the scenery outside leisurely, enjoying the rare freedom.

At this time, a "click" sound suddenly came from outside the compartment. A slightly fat female salesperson pushed a cart full of snacks and looked at the three people and asked, "Do you want to buy anything, kids?"

"No, thank you, I brought it." Ron took out a sandwich wrapped in a transparent oilcloth with some embarrassment.

"I'm not hungry." Aaron said, then he suddenly thought of something and glanced at the pet in his arms, "But let's have some!"

The fat woman smiled happily, "Okay, sir, what do you need?

We have multi-flavored beans, chocolate frogs, pies, cakes..."

"No need to say so much." Aaron was a little impatient and took out a Galleon, "Just the four things you said! Three people will be enough."

"Oh, wait a minute."

The fat woman began to rummage in her cart, then put a bunch of snacks on the table in the box, and also found a few silver Sickles for Aaron.

"Wow!" Ron's eyes widened, "Aaron, what does your family do? They look so rich."

"It's nothing, just a small business."

"That's not a big deal, you just gave me Galleons!" Ron asked in surprise, "I may not even have that much pocket money in a year."

Aaron's mouth twitched, and he always felt that this guy looked like he had never seen money, "Uh... I think it may be because you have four brothers and sisters in your family, so the expenses are relatively high!"

Ron heard this and nodded silently, "Actually, you don't understand it comprehensively. I have five brothers and one sister."

Aaron:......

No wonder this kid's pocket money is less than one Galleon.

A poor family has to raise seven children, which is adding insult to injury! If you don't budget carefully, you may not be able to survive.

"I originally thought your mother was great, able to take care of seven children.

But I didn't expect your father to be even greater, able to support your family with one person's salary."

"What do you mean?"

"Nothing, I just simply expressed my admiration for your father.

Yes, that's right, admiration." Aaron said, and then pointed to the snacks on the table, "Don't just stand there, you two are welcome to eat, but remember to save a few pies for my Abe, it would be even better if there are meat fillings."

Ron couldn't help but look at the white cat, "Your pet is so cute! I only have a mouse, which Percy threw away."

As he said that, he took out a fat gray mouse from his pocket, "It's called Scabbers, it's hopeless, and it eats and sleeps all day long."

Aaron immediately moved his body back, trying to distance himself from the mouse as much as possible.

But Abe in his arms seemed to smell something disgusting, showing an alert and disgusted expression, pointing at the sleeping mouse with a white paw, grinning constantly.

Ron immediately took his pet back. He almost forgot that Aaron's pet was a cat. What was the difference between taking out a mouse and feeding it in front of a cat?

"Don't worry, my Abe doesn't eat mice." Aaron smiled bitterly and comforted Abe, looking at the mouse with some scrutiny.

After all, Abe is a holy dragon, not a cat. What can make it react like this should not be an ordinary mouse, or... it's not a mouse at all.

But it has nothing to do with him. Even if Ron also raises a magical creature he has never seen like him, it doesn't matter!

Ron then put Banban on the table with confidence, and then enjoyed the food with peace of mind.

As for the sandwich he brought, it had been thrown aside long ago. What was it compared to these snacks?

Harry picked up a package, glanced at it, and put the beans in his mouth. Then he felt an indescribable taste, and his expression became strange.

"That's Bibi's multi-flavor beans. It has a variety of flavors." Ron said, "There is chocolate mint flavor, spinach flavor, tripe flavor, and liver flavor.

George said he also ate snot-flavored ones."

"Ugh!" Aaron suddenly felt a little nauseous and immediately put this snack on the blacklist.

Harry silently spit out the multi-flavor beans in his mouth and threw them into the trash can. He felt that what he ate was probably snot-flavored.

After a while, Harry picked up another five-pointed star package with chocolate frog written on it, and asked curiously: "There won't be real frogs in it!"

"You can understand it that way." Aaron laughed.

"This is magic. People usually buy this kind of snack for the pictures inside. Each package has pictures of great wizards. I have collected more than 500 of them." Ron said.

Harry opened the package. A frog croaked in the carriage. The pure chocolate-colored frog's eyes moved slightly, and then it jumped towards the glass window.

But when it jumped into the air, Abe suddenly jumped up and caught it in his hand, and put the chocolate into his mouth very proudly.

"Ahem!"

Aaron coughed lightly, and Abe stopped awkwardly.

"Eat it, but be careful, I don't want your mouth to be full of chocolate." Aaron laughed.

Abe was stunned for a moment, raised his paw to smash the chocolate frog, and then put small pieces into his mouth.

This scene made Harry and Ron stunned.

They have seen cats, but they have never seen such a smart and human cat.

"Aaron, how much did you spend on this cat? It's expensive, right?" Ron asked blankly. He silently compared Abe and Scabbers, and suddenly felt that the mouse was not fragrant, although it was not fragrant to begin with.

"This is what my elders left behind... I think!" Aaron said with a strange look on his face. He didn't know how to say it, but this is what the dragon-walking license meant.

"I don't know how much it's worth, but I know I won't sell it no matter how much it's worth."

"So that's the case!" Ron said angrily, "By the way, what's your last name?"

"Gaius, I'm from the Gaius family."

Ron was stunned for a moment. He really hadn't heard of this last name before.

Harry picked up the picture in the box. It showed a white-bearded old man wearing glasses. He looked particularly kind, but his nose was a little crooked. The magical thing was that the image on the picture was still moving, which was impossible in the Muggle world.

The name on the picture was: Albus Dumbledore.

"It's Dumbledore. I already have six." Ron smiled.

Harry smiled, and when he looked down at the picture again, the image on it was gone. This was a bit strange for a child who had just come into contact with the magic world.

"He's gone?"

"He won't stay there all day, will he?" Ron said, "He'll be back."

"No need to be so serious, our headmaster is Dumbledore.

It's definitely more practical to see a real person than a picture."

Although he said so, Harry still put the picture away for some reason.

The train passed through the woods and fields and came to a plain. There was a lake outside the window, and the sparkling water made people feel calm.

If it weren't for a mouse gnawing on the table, Aaron might be in a better mood.

"Ron, if possible, can you ask your mouse to be quiet."

"Uh, sorry to bother you." Ron awkwardly lifted the mouse from the table, "By the way, the spell that Fred taught me can turn it yellow, I'll show you two."

"Okay! I haven't seen any other wizards cast spells except Hagrid!" Harry showed great interest.

Aaron also nodded, after all, magic performances can also add a little fun to this not-so-long journey.
