The Grey Wizard of Hogwarts

Chapter 334: Wine Barrel Hut

Fred introduced the characteristics of each secret passage in a mysterious tone, such as the one-eyed witch statue secret passage on the third floor.

"This secret path is divided into two parts. First is a stone slide. We have to slide all the way down for 10 minutes, and we will come to a huge stone platform."

With a light tap of George's wand, a stone slide highlighted in red appeared inside the translucent Hogwarts Castle.

"Going down from this stone platform, there are a total of 200 steps. At the end is a trap door. After opening, it is Honeyduke's cellar."

"A 10-minute slide?" Neville's eyes widened and he swallowed, looking a little frightened, "This..."

"That sounds exciting!" Hannah exclaimed in surprise.

Anton frowned and looked at such a super long secret passage, first he had to go to the third floor of Hogwarts Castle, and then slide down?

He looked up at the twins, "I just have one question, how do I get back?"

If you climb up the 10-minute slide, oh well, it's so much fun, you will definitely exhaust a few children to death.

George shrugged, "We all come back through other secret passages. If we really want to use this, we probably have to use a broomstick to fly up."

Seeing that Anton raised the issue of this secret passage, Fred introduced other secret passages again.

One after the other, Hannah and Neville, two good babies, were amazed.

But Anton was still not very satisfied, he finally looked at the Whomping Willow.

The Whomping Willow was not far from their hut, stretching from under the Whomping Willow all the way across the edge of the Forbidden Forest to the Shrieking Shack in Hogsmeade.

This is the shortest road, and it is very convenient for the members of the hut to move around.

But Anton stared at the map thoughtfully, suddenly pulled out his wand, tapped it lightly, and saw a green tunnel extending from the ground of the hut, all the way forward, leading to the secret passage of the Whomping Willow.

George took a breath and looked at Anton in shock, "What do you mean?"

"Dig a secret tunnel by yourself?" Fred glanced at Anton and then at the map, "Dig one from the hut to the Whomping Willow, it seems..."

"It should work!" Hannah's eyes lit up.

"This is crazy!" Neville was a little worried, "What if someone else knows this secret passage and walks into the hut along the tunnel we dug ourselves?"

Anton chuckled, "Along the tunnel we dug ourselves?"

He gently raised his hand to beckon, and the Elephant Vine pulled out the vines and stretched out from the wall, responding to Anton's greeting.

"I let it expand the underground secret passage and weave it into an underground tunnel with vines. It's not long, only a few hundred meters. It can do it." Anton narrowed his eyes, "As for someone walking into this tunnel..."

George took a deep breath, "It's like walking into the mouth of an elephant vine!"

Fred nodded, "It will be crushed and squeezed!"

"Oh, Merlin's beard!" Neville exclaimed, "No, it's too evil!"

Anton rolled his eyes, "Why do we want to crush others and wantonly let the elephant vines develop the habit of attacking humans, which is also dangerous for us."

"I mean, this is a secret passage only when we need it. If we don't, it's filled with sand and vines."

"That's a great idea!" George and Fred exclaimed in unison.

Hannah picked up the teacup and looked at everyone with a smile, "Is this a group activity in our cabin?"

"Of course!" everyone shouted.

so~

"cheers!"

ding ding ding~

Today is already Thursday night, and everyone will have no classes tomorrow Friday afternoon, and then we can go out and look for a house together.

Professor Snape seemed to have forgotten about Anton, and never mentioned the private lessons on Saturdays again, but he often instructed Anton to go to the library to borrow some Potions books to read for himself, and to write papers for him to check.

Usually, after dinner, they stayed for an hour or two to explain to Anton his thoughts on correcting the thesis.

Anyway, Anton was free.

But George and Fred didn't have much time. They were pulled by the Quidditch team captain Wood and asked to train on Friday afternoon, Saturday morning, and Sunday noon to night to meet the next challenge.

They will represent Hogwarts against other schools, and if they lose their home game, and lose their first European Interschool Quidditch match...

They will definitely blame themselves to death!

So they are only free from Saturday afternoon to evening, and they have to recharge their energy on Sunday morning to cope with the next full 8 hours of high-intensity training.

For this, they are particularly sorry.

The reputation of the school, their own shops, they have to choose one of the two, they can only choose to take responsibility for themselves.

Anton is in charge of taking Hannah and Neville to choose first, and everyone will use the evening time to discuss.

And there was Lupine and the rest of the family.

Yes, originally Lupine was going to take Anton to meet another group of wizards this weekend, but since Anton planned to buy a house in Hogsmeade Village, he would have time to find his wife.

Ilsa, Nagini, and Rozier have settled down in this village completely.

Including Lupine, the two couples bought a not-so-small shop here, and three similar houses behind the shop. Now they are discussing to enclose the open space in the middle of the four houses as a place for usual gatherings .

The couple each have their own house, and it is said that the one on the left is reserved for Anton, but Anton has never had a chance to go and have a look.

Anton didn't let the adults get involved in the selection of the house. This is a collective activity belonging to the hut. He hoped that some additional factors would not be mixed in when choosing the base at the beginning.

In this way, Anton got information about the transaction or lease here from the adults, and took Hannah and Neville for a stroll.

They all made disguises, wearing big hoods and masks, pretending to be three old men and old ladies choosing their future settlements.

"On the main street, there are only two buildings that are said to be for sale, and the owner of the other one is rented, but he needs a lot of money recently, and he can also negotiate to buy it."

Hogsmeade Village is the only village in the UK where all wizards live. Professors and students from Hogwarts School often come here, and it is a forbidden place for people on the fringes of the wizarding world.

It's dangerous to approach. After some people have been imprisoned and even died for no apparent reason, no messy people are willing to approach here.

The old wizard lived in Knockturn Alley back then, and wandered around various gathering places all year round, but he had never been close to this place in his life.

The only time he came here was when he had just died, in order for Anton to learn the floating spell, he tried to float in and eavesdrop.

Of course, this doesn't mean it's absolutely safe here, it's just because the big bosses are walking around, filtering out some social residue that has been in Knockturn Alley all the year round, and some powerful or decent dark wizards will still appear here.

"The houses on these main streets are more expensive. If you go along the alley, there will still be many cheaper houses." Anton unfolded the map and showed it to the two friends.

"Actually, we are a little bit inside, as long as we don't go too deep into the residential areas inside the village, we can still operate."

Neville thought for a while, "If you can save some money as an emergency, I think such a plan is more appropriate."

Hannah also agrees, she thinks the shops in the alleys are more romantic.

But well, it’s all here, and it’s not bad to stop by to see the houses on the main road.

There are many shops in Hogsmeade Village, which make the three little wizards seem to have walked into the Grand View Garden, Devis-Bans Magic Items Store, Fengya Wizard Clothing Store, Honeydukes Candy Store, Pig's Head Bar, Three Broomsticks Pub, Zonko's Joke Shop, Ollivander's Wand Shop Branch, Dog Herb and Death Hat Herb, Dominic Mastro's Music Store...

There are too many, and it is dazzling to see.

The most interesting one is the Hog's Head Pub - opened by Aberforth, the English name is Hog's Head pub.

He opened this bar next to his brother Dumbledore's school, and he named it this way. He didn't know if he was secretly mocking his brother.

Pig head (Hog's Head), Hogwarts headmaster (Hogwarts's Head).

Anton giggled, and led his two followers into the alley from the aisle next to the Pig's Head Bar. Two buildings away from the bar, he saw a strangely shaped house.

Three floors, a standard English-style spire hut, this is because this place exceeds the snow line and it snows all year round.

But what's interesting is that the hut is a bit chubby in size, and it seems to occupy a larger area than other houses, and it looks like a wine barrel.

On the old broken signboard, you can still see the writing of the previous operation of the bar.

"The price here is obviously cheaper than other places." Anton raised his eyebrows and looked up at the house. "There should be some reason."

The three walked in and took a look, and Neville called out first, "Merlin's beard, have you seen it? There is a huge crack here, and this house is about to collapse."

Hannah was a little surprised, "It would be great if it's because it's so cheap. We happened to use the Elephant Vine to renovate the house, and we made sure it wouldn't be seen."

Anton frowned and shook his head, "It's not that simple. First of all, elephant vines like sunny and dry places. The most suitable place is the desert. It snows almost every day here, so it's not suitable for planting at all. Secondly..."

He observed the cracks carefully, and finally said with certainty, "These cracks extend from the inside to the outside, and there are obviously some problems in themselves."

"Let's go and see other houses, this one doesn't look very good." Anton simply turned his head and left.

Neville also nodded in agreement, only Hannah, who seemed to like it very much, kept looking back.

8,000 words, I stayed up all night writing until dawn, and finally it was done. Catch up with the progress, and keep updating at 8:00 every morning in the future.
