Volume 1 Chapter 3 Zhang Pa and the Snake

Chapter 3 Zhang Pa and the Snake ()

After entering the cave, it turned out that it was not a cave, but an extremely spacious hall, with colorful lights in the far corner. Zhang Pa looked carefully and saw a white snake as thick as a bucket coiled in the light. The snake had been resting with its head down, but when it saw someone coming, it glanced at him with a cold gaze, and happened to meet Zhang Pa's eyes. Zhang Pa was startled and instinctively fled backwards, but was caught by Master Zhenyi, who scolded him: "Coward, what's there to be afraid of? Just stand here, there is a restriction that traps it and it can't get out."

Zhang Pa's face turned pale and he trembled, "I, I, I..." He was so nervous that he couldn't even finish a sentence. Zhenyi glared at him: "What do you mean? You are holding a Tianluo Umbrella! What are you afraid of? When I say release, throw the umbrella out."

After that, he walked towards the big snake, stood outside the colorful light, and said to the big snake: "I know you understand human words. It is a bit disadvantageous to make a heart contract with me, but your magic power will not decrease after the contract, which is better than losing your magic after refining and being controlled by me."

The big snake did not make any move, but looked at Zhenyi with disdain, and then glanced at Zhang Pa and the Tianluo Umbrella in his hand. Zhang Pa was swept by the cold eyes, and felt creepy and terrified. He wanted to leave but didn't dare. He kept repeating to himself to give himself courage: "I am holding a Tianluo Umbrella, Tianluo Umbrella."

Master Zhenyi continued: "If you don't agree to make a heart contract again, I will have to take you." As he spoke, he walked into the colorful light. The big snake was coiled and motionless. When Zhenyi walked into the restriction, it suddenly flashed and opened its bloody mouth to bite Zhenyi. Zhenyi made a hand gesture and suddenly disappeared from the spot. He appeared behind the big snake and offered a string of small bells. In a snap of his fingers, the bells collided and rang. Zhang Pa was far outside the restriction and felt the earth shaking and dizzy. However, the big snake in the restriction seemed not to hear it. It swept its tail and knocked the bells away, and then swept it towards Zhenyi.

Zhenyi continued to make hand gestures and his body disappeared again. Then he appeared beside the big snake and offered the small bells again to disturb its mind. The big snake became more and more angry and opened its mouth to swallow the bells.

The man and the snake fought several times. Zhenyi knew that the big snake would eat everything and the magic weapon would turn into rotten water after entering its stomach, so he quickly took back the bells. He offered a flying sword to nail the big snake's tail. The big snake did not hide, and its eyes shot out ice flames to hit Zhenyi.

Zhenyi relied entirely on quick dodging to fight with the big snake. Zhang Pa watched from the outside and thought that this skill was really good, better than what he had learned. It must be very good to learn to save his life.

The white scales of the snake were so hard that Zhenyi's flying sword could not hurt it at all. He then used the Soul-Grabbing Bell again and chanted the spell of the Beast Refining Cauldron. The colorful streams of light gathered and converged, wrapping around the snake. Although the snake was not afraid of being killed, it was entangled by the colorful streams of light and could not break free. It kept turning and struggling.

Zhenyi used all his strength to activate the restrictions of the Beast Refining Cauldron to fight against the snake. After a long struggle, he was about to lose strength and whispered, "I'm sorry." Then he shouted, "Let it go."

Subconsciously, Zhang Pa threw the umbrella in his hand, and saw that the umbrella turned around and opened by itself, and then covered the giant snake in the stream of light. The snake was struggling, but after being covered by the Tianluo umbrella, its strength began to weaken. Slowly, the colorful streams of light became more and more entangled and gathered thicker, tightly wrapping the snake.

Zhenyi took back the bell flying sword, meditated in the air, chanted non-stop, and made hand gestures with both hands. His body began to glow. Suddenly, a light mark shot out from his forehead and hit the colorful light. The light began to change, and the seven colors slowly disappeared, leaving only a red flame, which kept burning the snake.

The colorful light barrier of the beast refining cauldron became smaller and smaller, and the Tianluo umbrella in the air locked the snake tightly, greatly reducing its power. The snake could not escape in the flames and rolled and groaned in pain.

Zhenyi kept chanting spells and hand gestures. He began to sweat and his face turned red. He knew it was a critical moment and was doubly careful. Gradually, the snake's groaning became lower and lower, and it stopped rolling. Zhenyi's face showed a look of joy. It was going to work!

Another light mark on the forehead hit the burning red flame, and the flame began to turn white and jumped around the huge snake head. Suddenly, a ray of light appeared in the air, covering the snake's head. After a moment, a ball of light appeared faintly on the top of the snake's head in the light. During the continuous refining process, the ball of light gradually dimmed, formed a solid, and turned into a round bead the size of a grain of rice.

Zhang Pa knew this thing, called the Soul Control Bead. All the monsters in the Ten Thousand Beasts Cave have such a bead. After refining, it is placed in the shrine. As long as you master the formula, you can control the monster with the Soul Control Bead in your hand. However, this is the first time I have seen the refining process. This thing is actually extremely vicious. It is refined with the soul of the monster. After refining, the life is there if the bead exists, and the life is gone if the bead is destroyed. In fact, it is the life bead of the monster, but between humans and beasts, and between beasts and humans, it is hard to say whether it is vicious or not. Alas, Zhang Pa sighed secretly, pitiful for this snake with huge magical powers, which has been controlled and controlled by people from now on.

Zhenyi became more and more nervous, and the round bead on the top of the snake's head became bigger and bigger. He is now insisting, waiting for the beast refining cauldron to give him a prompt before he can stop.

Seeing the bead slowly getting bigger and about to be completed, the big snake howled, and the round bead on the snake's head actually flew into the snake's head at a high speed. Zhenyi was shocked and took out a pill from his waist and swallowed it, then sacrificed the soul-stealing bell and activated the beast-refining cauldron to burn the bead again.

After the bead sank into the snake's head, there was no movement for a long time, but the light on the head disappeared. Zhenyi felt something was wrong, chanted the formula, and the white flame turned back into a colorful streamer, still tightly wrapped around the big snake, and temporarily gave up refining and burning the soul-controlling bead.

After a while, a small snake slowly appeared from the snake head. It was transparent, crystal clear and cute, but its eyes radiated an extremely hateful look, staring at Zhenyi. Zhenyi was scared and even stammered: "Primordial spirit escapes? You, you, what do you want to do?" A thought flashed through his mind, and he shouted: "Run." Zhang Pa was timid to begin with, and he was standing at the entrance of the cave. Seeing that things were not going well, his uncle shouted to run, and he rushed out of the cave. Then, the cave shook violently, and after a while, it returned to calm.

Zhang Pa stood outside the cave, his mind was extremely confused. He didn't know whether to go in or go back to report to the master. He hesitated and a thought came to his mind. What if Master Zhenyi was injured and died of his injuries because of his delay? Then, wouldn't it be... wouldn't it be something? He didn't know, but he felt it was not good. There was no sound in the cave, and he didn't know what happened inside.

After hesitating for a long time, he finally decided to go in and secretly take a look at the situation. If there was any danger, he would immediately leave the cave and report to the master. Zhang Pa added a protective shield, earth armor, a thousand walls of anger, an ice barrier, a wood spirit bodyguard, a golden armor bodyguard, and a thunder shield. After layering them up, he cast the wind spell before carefully opening the ban and stepping into the cave.

The cave was pitch black, and the colorful light of the beast refining cauldron disappeared. It was obvious that the ban had been broken. Instead, there was a white light more than ten feet long, but the brightness was too low, similar to fluorescence, and far less bright than the colorful light. Zhang Pa was puzzled, what was that? Although curious, he was still timid and did not dare to approach, and whispered: "Uncle Master, Uncle Master."

After a long time, a faint voice came back: "Come over." Zhang Pa was startled by the voice, and bravely sent out a light ball and threw it to the sound. Under the light ball, Uncle Master Zhenyi was lying on the ground covered in blood. Zhang Pa was afraid that the big snake would escape the ban, so he did not dare to go over easily. He flicked his hands and sent out nearly a hundred light balls in succession, illuminating the hall like daytime. After a careful search, he found a big snake lying still in a crooked position. It turned out to be the white light that was more than ten feet long. He was very surprised: "What kind of snake is this? Its scales can also glow?"

Seeing that there was no danger, Zhang Pa went to help Master Zhenyi. At this time, he found that Master Zhenyi's eyes were dull, his limbs were weak, and his face was much older. He asked hurriedly: "Master, what's wrong with you?"

Master Zhenyi whispered: "Nothing, help me out."

Looking at his appearance, Master Zhenyi was extremely weak. Zhang Pa was kind and simply carried him on his back. But just after carrying him on his back, Master Zhenyi was in unbearable pain and groaned in a low voice. Zhang Pa was worried and asked hurriedly: "Master, are you okay?"

Master Zhenyi sighed and said: "Put me down, you go find Master Zhentian." Zhang Pa was worried: "Can you do it by yourself?" Zhenyi smiled and said: "Yes, why not?" As he said that, he took a pill and forced himself to meditate to heal his wounds.

Zhang Pa obeyed the order and hurried out. He passed the Eight Diagrams Hall and came to the outside of the Ten Thousand Beasts Cave. He took out a talisman and threw it into the air. The talisman disappeared out of thin air. After a while, several figures flew in the sky, and the leader was the great monk Zhen Tian Dao Ren from Zi Guang Pavilion.

Zhen Tian Dao Ren landed quickly and asked Zhang Pa anxiously: "What's the matter?" Zhang Pa hurriedly replied: "Uncle Zhen Yi..." Before he finished speaking, Zhen Tian Dao Ren had already flashed into the Ten Thousand Beasts Cave. Of course, he knew what Zhen Yi had been doing these days. Since something happened, it must be related to the beast refining cauldron and the big snake.
