Chapter 443 Ivan: We Must Believe that Hals Is a Good Comrade!
Something about me?
Ivan was a little confused for a moment and looked at Snape with a strange look. This was the first time that he had encountered someone coming to sue him while pretending to be Dumbledore. This feeling was very strange.
"What's wrong? Albus?" Snape squinted his eyes, vaguely feeling that something was not right about Dumbledore in front of him. Then he remembered that the password in the principal's office had not been changed for a long time, and he couldn't help but become suspicious.
"No, it's nothing. I'm just curious about what the kid did? I need you to come over and report to me." Ivan shook his head and said in a deep voice.
Snape was silent for a while. He looked at "Dumbledore" but couldn't see any flaws, so he didn't know whether he was worrying too much.
Under normal circumstances, no one would dare to use Polyjuice Potion to pretend to be Dumbledore and sit in the principal's office.
Besides, Phoenix Fawkes was still hovering over Hogwarts this morning. He saw it with his own eyes. He was also holding Dumbledore's usual elder wand.
Thinking of this, Snape finally dispelled his doubts and turned to recall what happened last night.
In particular, it was mentioned that he had a conflict with Blake and others, and then Ivan used a special eye magic to petrify his body.
"To be honest, those eyes gave me a very bad premonition that he looked a bit like that person." Snape recalled the original situation, still a little scared.
He and Ivan only looked at each other for a moment, and his body had a petrification reaction that was enough to affect his actions. He even felt death at that moment. If the gaze continued for a while, the consequences would be disastrous.
Listening to Snape's words, Ivan immediately understood that it was his snake eyes that scared the other party, so he ran over to complain.
But Ivan was a little helpless about this. He had worked so hard to do so many things, but Snape still doubted himself because of this little thing. It was really chilling.
Even though he was thinking like this, Ivan did not forget his current identity, so he changed his tone of voice when he spoke again.
"This is indeed cause for alarm, Severus!"
"Hals is filled with many mysteries, and sometimes even I can't figure it out." Ivan tried his best to think about Dumbledore's possible reaction, and said in an emotional tone.
It’s just that Ivan didn’t mean to criticize himself, so he then changed his voice and said that the power of magic cannot be seen in a lifetime. A special pupil magic that can turn people to stone is rare, but there is no need to do it. What a fuss.
Hals has always been a good boy with both good character and academics. He has contributed a lot to the peace of the magical world. We cannot be biased against this outstanding student just because he has unique abilities.
Ivan talked freely, trying to make Snape give up those doubts, and promised that he would talk to Mr. Hals personally when he had time.
Seeing that Dumbledore didn't seem to care much about this special eye magic, Snape said nothing more and said coldly.
"I'm just here to remind you of this. If you really trust him so much, then that's up to you."
"In addition, the Ministry of Magic requested that some more dementors be sent to guard Black and Peter," Snape added, remembering the business of coming here.
Dementors?
Hearing the news, Ivan couldn't help but frowned. He didn't quite understand what Fudge was doing. He had spent so much effort to get rid of the dementors, but he didn't expect that Fudge now wanted to give the dementors away. Get it back again.
After the Daily Prophet reported that incident, he and Fudge had no conflict in dealing with Sirius and Peter.
Both parties need to ensure that they can survive safely until the trial, so Ivan is not very worried about what Fudge does in private.
Snape looked at "Dumbledore" who seemed to be deep in thought, and suddenly spoke. "I hope you still remember our agreement!"
"Of course, our agreement is always valid!" Ivan was suddenly awakened. After thinking about it, he understood what Snape was talking about and nodded cooperatively.
"That's good!" Snape stared at Ivan's expression and reaction the whole time. He couldn't see the hesitation or confusion on Ivan's face. He finally gave up his last doubts and turned around to leave the principal's office.
Watching Snape disappear into the principal's office, Ivan wiped the cold sweat from his head. He did not expect that Snape would suddenly use this to test him.
If he hadn't been a time traveler and understood that Dumbledore had promised Snape that he would protect Harry, I would have betrayed him just now.
After experiencing Snape's temptation, Ivan did not dare to stay in the principal's office, lest he meet other professors again, and hurriedly changed back to his original appearance.
Just as Ivan walked out of the principal's office and was about to go to the Gryffindor lounge, he bumped into Harry and others.
"Ivan! Did Professor Dumbledore tell you something? We saw Sirius being captured by people from the Ministry of Magic!" Harry immediately greeted Ivan after seeing him walking out of the principal's office. He came up and asked worriedly.
"Yeah, he won't be imprisoned in Azkaban again, right?" Ron also looked worried. He was still thinking about the new pet that Sirius promised him.
Ivan was about to answer when Hermione on the side retorted hastily.
"I have analyzed it with you before, and it should not be the case! Sirius has been cleared of suspicion and will not go to Azkaban again. I guess the Ministry of Magic must have taken them back for interrogation!"
As she spoke, Hermione turned her head to look at Ivan and confirmed.
"Right, Ivan!"
"No, you all guessed wrong. Sirius and Peter are now being held in Hogwarts!" Ivan shook his head and said.
"They are still in Hogwarts? Really? Where are they?" Harry swept away the worried look before and looked very excited. He couldn't wait to see how Sirius was doing now.
"Forgive me for not telling you, Harry!" Ivan cruelly rejected Harry's inquiry directly, and then continued to explain.
"Sirius is currently under the supervision of the Aurors of the Ministry of Magic and cannot meet with you. You'd better not disturb him, so as not to cause trouble to Professor Dumbledore!"
Ivan was very aware of Harry's ability to seek death. If the other party knew that the Ministry of Magic had sent some dementors to help guard Sirius, they would definitely cause trouble again.
Therefore, Ivan was resolutely unwilling to reveal the specific location where Sirius was being held, lest they would cause something to happen and he would have to deal with it himself.
