Chapter 38 Newcomer
A supermarket on the west side of the campus.
The rather old glass door was half-opened, with a poster of a Korean boy on it.
The sequined slim-fitting suit did not bring a bright feeling to the people in front of him, but was very tacky.
The man in the suit lit a long match, turned his face sideways, and lit a cigarette for himself.
Then he shook his hand and extinguished the flame on the match.
The man in the baseball cap stood on the steps opposite him, drinking a bottle of mineral water and chewing on the dry bread in his hand.
Staring at the poster in front of him, the man in the suit smiled disdainfully, and slowly blew a mouthful of turbid smoke on the face of the Korean boy, "Is the aesthetics so bad back then?"
The man in the baseball cap had just finished a piece of bread and was greedily sucking the jam left on his fingers.
However, his face did not look at the man in the suit or the poster, but stared at several girls.
The hungry wolf-like eyes wandered freely on the girls.
They stood not far away or close, and several people formed a circle.
Dressed quite revealingly.
One of the tall girls with a slender figure and loose hair was still looking here from time to time, holding a cigarette between her fingers.
Although she tried her best to pretend to be calm and indifferent, the immaturity between her eyebrows still betrayed her, and her smoking movements were also relatively unfamiliar.
She did not belong to this small group, but joined recently.
"If this is not a dream world, how wonderful it would be," the man in the baseball cap licked his cracked lips.
The man in the suit lowered his head and carefully buttoned the cuffs of his right hand, then smiled and said: "Don't talk in your sleep, how dare you come to such a place in the real world?"
"You can only hide in the dark basement," the man in the suit did not even look at him, and continued: "Don't forget, there are police everywhere looking for you."
The words of the man in the suit seemed to bring the baseball cap back to reality. His face was stunned, and then he was no longer calm, and his smile was also restrained by 70% or 80%.
After wiping his body with his left hand, he held the brim of his cap and pressed it down.
He stood in the shadow, and from the perspective of the man in the suit, only half of his chin was exposed.
"Don't be so nervous," the man in the suit had an inexplicable taste in his voice. He adjusted his collar, and the gorgeous ukiyo-e on the lining of his suit was revealed when he shook it inadvertently.
"I will keep your secret for you," the man in the suit smiled, "You know what I want."
"But we don't know who has the thing," the man in the cap said in a muffled voice.
"Then go find it, one by one, we still have plenty of time. The cheongsam woman died first, which means that the probability that she has that thing is extremely low. In other words, even if she has it, it has been taken away by someone." The man in the suit seemed like a different person at this moment, and under his gentle face, there seemed to be an evil ghost.
The man in the baseball cap seemed to realize something, raised his head, and stared at the man in the suit with a pair of narrow eyes under the brim of the hat, "Are you saying that someone planned her death?"
The black pupil area in his eyes is small, and the white sclera area is large, so if you look at it for a long time, it will give people a sinister feeling, although he is indeed such a person.
"Yes," the man in the suit nodded.
"Who is it?"
"It's not clear yet."
"Could it be the woman in room 406?" The man in the baseball cap suddenly became nervous, "Her aura is very strange, and there are calluses on the front of her fists and the base of her knuckles. Do you think she is a police officer?"
The man in the suit stretched out a finger and rubbed his chin. After a while, he replied, "It shouldn't be. She gives me a fierce and aggressive feeling. Police officers shouldn't be like this."
The baseball cap breathed a sigh of relief, "That's good."
"Hehe," the man in the suit looked the baseball cap up and down, and said playfully, "As long as you choose to cooperate with me, it doesn't matter whether she is a police officer or not," he leaned forward, and raised the corner of his mouth to one side, "Because I can't let her leave alive."
The man in the suit extinguished the cigarette butt in his hand and said coldly, "Just like the two idiots in room 404."
"A-choo!"
Jiang Cheng sneezed heavily.
The fat man hugged his arm and asked with concern: "Doctor, you are not catching a cold, are you?"
Jiang Cheng shook his head and looked around, "No, I am afraid someone missed me again and silently expressed his longing for me from afar."
The fat man ignored the second half of Jiang Cheng's words.
They had been walking around the campus for a long time, from the cafeteria to the playground at the west end, and then changed another road and turned back.
"Doctor," the fat man asked curiously, "Where are we going? Why do I feel like you are wandering around aimlessly?"
"Yes," Jiang Cheng admitted generously, unexpectedly, "I am indeed wandering around."
The fat man was stunned, and he was increasingly confused about what this person was thinking.
"I've walked enough," Jiang Cheng said, stopped, put his hand on his forehead to block the sun, and after a simple identification of the direction, he pointed to a road and said, "Let's go to the equipment room and meet up with them first."
Everyone met in front of the equipment room at noon, which was decided early in the morning.
The journey was long, and the fat man's heart became restless again. He secretly looked at Jiang Cheng many times, and the corners of his mouth moved, as if he had something to ask, but couldn't ask it out loud.
"You want to ask who killed the cheongsam woman?" Jiang Cheng said calmly.
There was no tone of question sentence, he was calm as if he was narrating some established fact.
"Yes, yes," the fat man nodded repeatedly.
They had discussed this issue before, but were interrupted by a sudden ringing of the bell.
"It was the ghost in the mission that killed her," Jiang Cheng said.
The fat man said anxiously: "Of course I know it was the ghost that killed her, I mean"
"It was the pajamas girl," Jiang Cheng stopped and turned to look at the fat man, "She used the cheongsam girl's fear of ghosts to drive her out of room 407, which led to her death."
Although the fat man was surprised by the result of Jiang Cheng's words, he did not have any doubts about the sentence itself.
Because he knew that the latter never joked about such issues.
"How did she do it?" The fat man suddenly became excited, "How dare she, a newcomer?"
"I can't answer your first question for now," Jiang Cheng said, "but I think the second question is very simple. The pajamas woman is not a newcomer. Everything we saw, including her fear, cowardice, screaming, crying, and even the dinosaur pajamas she wore when she appeared, are all her disguises."
"The man in the suit is obviously a level lower than her in managing his personality," he shrugged, "Compared with the latter, he is a complete idiot."
The fat man gradually calmed down. He thought carefully about the pajamas woman, but did not find any loopholes in his memories. "Doctor," he raised his head, "Can you tell me your evidence?"
