Chapter 71 Margaret's Morning
"Yes, I don't want those unhappy things anymore. Come on, you continue to eat, and I will eat with you."
Margaret smiled sweetly and continued to enjoy the food. After taking a few bites, she stopped and asked, "My lord, where is my father?"
"He and your brother are dealing with some things on the island, and will be here in a while."
"Do you have to deal with things so early? I'll call them." Margaret wiped her mouth with a tablecloth, and rushed towards the office of the Governor of Hefang Island despite her mother's persuasion.
Through the corridor hung with crystal lights, Margaret came to the garden of her home, and her father's workshop was on the other side of the garden.
There are very few flowers that can adapt to the ground, but here, all kinds of valuable flowers of various colors compete with each other.
Smelling the refreshing fragrance of flowers, Margaret couldn't help but feel much better. When she walked to the edge of a garden, she was attracted by the lights outside the fence.
Governor He Fang's mansion was built on the highest peak in the center of the island. Looking down from above, the lights of the islanders' homes can be seen at a glance.
As the third largest island in the Earth Sea, He Fang covers a very vast area, almost equal to half the continent. Margaret tried her best to look into the distance, only to barely see the blurred lights of the port area.
"There's a port area on Father's Island too. Maybe I can telegraph Mr. Charles to come here, and I'll have a chance to see him."
Margaret recalled the black-eyed young man in her mind, her face flushed slightly.
During that time, we didn't get along well with him. He would rather discuss all kinds of ship gun knowledge with that talking mouse than take care of himself.
Usually, she would occasionally call herself to help him apply the medicine. When she thought of that scene, she was very angry. She was the governor's daughter, but she treated herself like a maid.
But I don't know why, during this time, I always think of him.
Margaret, who was lying on the railing, sighed. He was a little dazed looking at the distance for a while, and he didn't know what he thought of. His face was sometimes happy and sometimes sad.
Ten minutes later, a middle-aged man in a suit and leather shoes in his forties walked up behind the girl, bowed slightly and asked, "Miss, it's a bit dangerous here, please be careful."
Margaret was startled by the sound, and turned around in a panic, only to find that it was the butler of the mansion.
She stuck out her tongue embarrassingly. "Sorry, Mr. York, I'm a little distracted."
"Miss is here to enjoy the flowers, don't stay too long, you still have etiquette class in the morning."
Margaret suddenly remembered something, and hurriedly ran out of the garden with her skirt in her hands. "Oops, I'm here to ask Father to have breakfast."
Wait for Margaret to come to the door of Governor He Fang's office.
A row of guards with guns stood neatly on both sides.
She slightly calmed down her flustered breath, raised her hand and was about to knock on the door, when suddenly there was a loud noise from behind the door.
"Trash! Trash! Trash!! How do you do this!!! If you can't do it, get out of here!!!"
Hearing her father's roar, Margaret with a puzzled face retracted her hand, "Father sounds so angry, what's wrong?"
After carefully hesitating for a while, she put her ear on it.
The guard at the gate stood motionless, as if he hadn't seen anything.
"You are the chief of the police station of He Fang Island! Now you tell a big living person that you can't find it!! I tell you!! He is the grandson of He Fang's finance minister Pete! Not the garbage in the port area!!!"
Margaret's ears tingled a little from Daniel's growling noise.
"My lord governor, I have tried everything, I even entrusted those lunatics taught by Fortan, but I just couldn't find anyone, as if they just disappeared."
"I don't want to explain!! My family lives on this island, I can't put them in danger! Three days, three days to deal with this trouble for me, if there is any accident with my daughter, I will pinch it Your head! Get the hell out of here now!!"
The thick wooden door was opened, and a sweaty, bald middle-aged man escaped hastily.
When he saw Margaret standing outside the door, he bowed respectfully and left quickly.
Margaret walked in carefully, and asked Daniel behind the huge desk, "Father, what happened?"
Seeing his daughter coming in, the anger on Daniel's face immediately dissipated, "It's okay, it's just a small problem. What is the pearl of our family doing here?"
"Mother said, let you go and have breakfast." Margaret said, leaning towards the huge table.
In the next second, the girl saw several photos on the messy table, and one of the sexy beauties caught her attention, not because of anything else, but because of the same black pupils as Mr. Charles.
"Father, who is this lady? She is so beautiful." She picked up the photo.
"She is the newly married wife of the dead guy. It's a pity that such a beautiful wife died as soon as she got married. I don't know if they have spent the spring night together."
A young man with a face somewhat similar to Daniel came from behind and snatched the photo from the girl's hand.
Daniel glared at his son. "Is it appropriate to say this in front of your sister?"
The young man shrugged and didn't mean to be afraid of his father at all. "That boy is dead, and half of his family property will be divided into this widow."
"It's not that simple. Pete is a miser. He won't let a woman from an outer island rob the property so easily."
"Father, the marriage law was signed by the founder of our family himself."
"That's for civilians! It's easy for Pete to make a person disappear."
"Hehe, that's not like what the person in charge of an island should say."
"Should I say it, that's the truth."
Margaret watched her father talking to her elder brother blankly, a little confused about what they were talking about.
Seeing his daughter's confused look, Daniel touched her head with his hand and said, "Go back first, I'll go after a few words with Jack."
"Well, hurry up then." Margaret nodded obediently and turned to walk towards the door.
Watching his daughter leave, Daniel looked at his son with a gloomy expression. "How? Did you find it??"
"I found it. It's a group of pirates who hang out near the heavenly vortex. They usually rob fishing boats and cargo ships. Margaret was kidnapped by them."
"Very well, send a Royal Giant over there, and leave no one behind, and whoever offends you must pay the price!"
